« Barack Obama HQ grand opening in Idaho! | Main | BSU College Dems meet tonight (Oct. 30) »

October 27, 2007

Off topic, but remember when we got all excited because the new Democratic majority was going to make the House do full workweeks? Well, it looks like they changed their minds: ( http://www.nytimes.com/2007/10/27/washington/27cong.html?_r=1&oref=slogin )

I had to have a local (D.C.) T-shirt shop make this one up for me. What do you think?

The other Larry Craig Halloween costumes--are non-starters and what Capitol Hill hottie would really wear them?-- mean-spirited, stupid and just plain ugly; except for this one, which is actually pretty cool --I'll be wearing it myself how about you? I also love the description too.

Audacious Costume Ensemble:

The ladies will look absolutely chic in the "Larry Craig S.W.A.T. Tee-Shirt and optional cap. " Matched by black jeans and clunky black shoes or better yet combat boots, people will surely notice you and get the hell out of your way. With a set of handcuffs attached to a thick black belt the look is mostly complete.

Of course there is an edgy guy T-Shirt version too.

A costume, and an act....

I had no IDEA Dave Barry has a blog. His costume is sort of lame, though.

I wonder if he has resumed writing his column? I miss him, though I think his best days are probably behind him. But at his funniest, he is a national treasure, and we do need to laugh now. (Cue Stewart and Colbert ...)

Then again, as t says, Craig is doing a pretty good act himself these days. I'm sure there will be (or were) plenty of LCs at the adult parties this year.

Bubblehead, you chose the wrong thread to try and hijack, dude. But seriously, I am torn on this one. I'd like to see Dems keep up the pace they have this year in Congress, but with a slim majority and a stonewalling White House, a lot of it has been for naught. If a somewhat lighter (akin to when the GOP was in charge) workweek in 08 will lead to a larger Dem majority and a Dem in the White House, I am all for it. We're not going to make much progress until that happens.

Just a heads up....Boise State College Democrats is hosting a open house on Tuesday, 30 October, at the Student Union Building at 6:00 pm. Guest speakers include Representatives Nicole LeFavour and Sue Chew. Come join us and enjoy some chili and good conversation!

Julie has a "Reader's Opinion" up at the Idaho Statesman: http://www.idahostatesman.com/readersopinion/story/195950.html

I've already commented... hopefully I won't be alone in the comments section over there today.

Thinking about this years costume.

I really am trying hard on a Larry Craig
type costume.

My confusion is simply this:

Do I dress up as the front or back?

Thanks for having my back, Bubblehead. You too, MG.

Actually, I might have just slipped a knife in your back, Julie. While I obviously support your contention that Mr. LaRocco's understanding of technology make him a better candidate for Senate, I just took you to task for slipping in a "chickenhawk" reference in the comments section over there. A moderate's gotta do what a moderate's gotta do...
