I found it both unsurprising and appropriate that the Statesman declined to endorse in the 1st CD GOP race. I didn't know that the Press-Tribune declined as well. That's very good news.

And I wonder how often it happens: that a sitting congressman doesn't get the primary election nod from his district's largest papers? It can't be often, except when the office holder is truly weak and ineffective. "If the shoe fits ..."

Anyone know what the northern Idaho papers did?
