We can do MUCH better

Mr.Stapilus' review of the debate seems almost worshipful of Sali. Yuck. We all know Sali is a phony who can turn it on or off depending on the circumstances. He will do what it takes to get elected, period. Grant is authentic, without a phony bone. Amazing that Stapilus didn't pick this up.

Um, I don't know. Like I said, I think Randy goes on a little too long about how well Sali did, but he gives props to Larry, too.

Throughout this campaign, Randy has been the one who keeps reminding us all what a GOP district this is and what a steep climb Larry has. And frankly, I'm glad he's doing that.

The stakes are much higher for Larry. In a GOP district - especially when many voters don't pay much attention to the media and have no idea how divisive Sali has been - all Sali has to do is seem remotely competent and semi-likable. As a Democrat, Larry has to come across as extremely competent (which he did), unimpeachably moderate (which he is), and super-duper likable.
