Editor's note: Remember ... this event is tonight, Monday, August 11. If you can't attend but would like to donate, you can make a check payable to "Steve Mercado & Jessica Taylor" and send it to T.J. Thomson at 12451 W. Abram Dr., Boise, ID 83713.
First of all, if you haven't gotten a flyer by email regarding this amazing event, here's a special message from TJ Thomson!
Help us send two enthusiastic, dedicated, and positive young Democrats to the Democratic National Convention!
Monday, August 11th
Event Starts at 6pm!
Please join myself, Steve, & Jessica for a night of fun and socializing at The Melting Pot at 200 N. 6th St., Boise
...with the Mayor of Boise, Dave Bieter!
This event will help Obama National Delegate & VP of the Idaho Young Democrats, Steve Mercado, and DNC Page & Sergeant of Arms to the Idaho Young Democrats, Jessica Taylor, earn the funds they need to get to Denver and participate in the activities
(oh yeah, and eat and sleep in a hotel, too).
It’s going to be a lot of fun. Join us on the outside patio for free cheese and wine tasting and, quite possibly, glasses of wine for only a penny!
Suggested donation is $25 - $100, but not required.
We really hope to send these 2 outstanding politically active individuals to the National Convention, so anything you can give would be highly appreciated!
On behalf of Mayor Bieter, Jessica, and Steve, thank you so much and see you Monday!

More about Steve & Jessica...
Steve and Jessica were honored to be selected and are very excited to represent Idaho at the DNC. They intend to use the experience to energize the Young Democrats across Idaho for this November and well into the future! This Special Fondue Fundraising event will be a great opportunity to get to know Steve and Jessica and ask them about their commitment and dedication to Barack Obama and the Idaho Democratic Party.
Fellow Democrats, Steve Mercado is the passionate VP of the Young Democrats of Idaho that I personally know and I would like to praise him for overcoming the obstacles that has come his way for Idaho Democrats. Thanks for all you do.

No matter what else happens this year, 2008 will be remembered as the year when large numbers of young Idahoans became passionate about politics and public life. Steven and Jessica (and TJ and so many others) represent this huge wave of energy!
Best wishes to you both as you get ready for the historic convention in Denver. We are thrilled to have you and the rest of our delegation represent us at the DNC.
