from the Statesman
Rep. Wendy Jaquet, from Ketchum, is stepping down after a decade as House minority leader.
She'll fill one of the Democrat's four seats on the Joint-Finance Appropriations budget-writing committee.
Now, Rep. John Rusche of Lewiston becomes minority leader, with Rep. James Ruchti of Pocatello ascending to assistant leader and Bill Killen of Boise to caucus chairman.
In the Senate, Clint Stennett, a Ketchum Democrat, remains minority leader, while Boise Sen. Kate Kelly takes over as his deputy following David Langhorst's departure.
Boise Sen. Elliot Werk, will be minority caucus chair.
Thoughts??
Werk is my senator so I am always happy to see him at the center of things.

As much as I love Wendy and have valued her work as minority leader in the House, I am happy to see a shakeup in the leadership. She will serve us well on JFAC. Rusche and Ruchti are superb lawmakers who have been something of trailblazers in the past few sessions. I look forward to seeing them at work!

Maybe Ruchti, Rusche, Stennett and others will help pass more legislation that helps child abuse victims, hopefully without the "help" of Kirton & McConkie this time.

Werk's my senator too. I'm glad to see him a position of leadership.
I've met Dr. Rusche. He is a smart man, and I think will be good.
